ORGANIZATION: Sustenergy is an entity composed of a sole practitioner and Associates as required. Its name is a Registered Trade Mark. PRINCIPAL: M. Sivananda - Professional Engineer who is licensed in three States in the USA and in four Provinces in Canada. In addition, he has a Master of Business Administration degree from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, with Major in Accounting & Finance. The Principal has long been working in the hydroelectric field. His interest in this area was evinced by his career start with the Ceylon Electricity Board's Hydro Development Unit, in the late-60s upon graduating from the University of Ceylon with a Bachelor of the Science of Engineering degree in 1968. After five years of challenging work experience on two hydroelectric projects, he left for the United Kingdom to pursue further studies. After a short stay in London where he worked for brief periods with two of UK's leading consulting engineers in the water resources field, he was recruited by one of Canada's "Top Four" consulting engineers and moved to Montreal in 1974 thus working for this firm reputed for its top notch capabilities in the hydroelectric field. While in Montreal, Mr. Sivananda also pursued studies in business administration and attended internationally renowned McGill University where he obtained the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 1978, with Major in Accounting & Finance. He then moved to the west coast of Canada and was with a smaller, but well known firm specializing in the hydroelectric field. Due to the changing economic climate and with a desire to obtain broader experience, Mr. Sivananda joined a Provincial agency responsible for the protection of the environment. During this period of five years, he was responsible for the regulatory review for the licensing of water resources projects. This was followed by a family move to Toronto with two years of hydroelectric engineering and project management with another of the "Big Four", and subsequently with a Federal agency of Canada. The move to the USA saw him joining a New York State agency. Since then, he is pursuing assignments locally and globally. As can be seen, Mr. Sivananda has lengthy, significant and broad experience in this field, which encompasses technical, project management and financial areas, acquired through education and experience with a broad spectrum - electric utility, consulting engineers, and regulatory agencies, on three continents.
